Alocasia Loco – Grower’s Choice Corm
Alocasia Loco is a bold, expressive variety known for its upright growth habit and dramatic, unconventional foliage. As it matures, Loco grows up and outward, similar to Polly or Venom types, with leaves that can appear twisted, curled, or irregular in shape. Its unpredictable form and movement are exactly what give this plant its name.
This listing is for a Grower’s Choice Alocasia Loco corm, not an established plant. Corms are selected by me at the time of fulfillment based on firmness, health, and readiness. Corms may be dormant, beginning to sprout, or actively rooting depending on where they are in the growth cycle. All corms are viable and grown from my personal collection.
Photo is representative only. You will not receive the exact corm shown in the photo. Images are used to represent typical size and growth stage only.
What to Expect
This listing is for a corm, not an established plant
Corms may arrive dormant or with early signs of growth
Sprouting timelines vary and can take weeks and even months depending on conditions
Early leaves may appear curled, uneven, or oddly shaped as the plant establishes
Irregular growth is normal and part of Loco’s character
I do not ship unhealthy or compromised corms. Each corm is inspected prior to shipping to ensure firmness and viability.
Care Responsibility
Once the corm leaves my care, ongoing care becomes the responsibility of the buyer. This includes proper warmth, humidity, moisture management, and patience during the sprouting phase. I am not responsible for delays in growth, damage caused by improper care, shipping delays, or temperature exposure after shipment.
I strongly recommend purchasing a heat pack and upgrading shipping, especially during cooler months, as Alocasia corms are sensitive to cold and temperature fluctuations.
A Note on Growing
Alocasia Loco is not a “perfect leaf” plant, and that is part of its appeal. Growth can be dramatic, quirky, and sometimes unexpected. Corms are the earliest stage of growth and require patience. Some will sprout quickly, while others take time. My goal is to send you a healthy, viable corm with strong growth potential so you can grow it out successfully from the very beginning.
