Alocasia Scalprum – Grower’s Choice Starter Plant
Alocasia Scalprum is a refined, minimalist Alocasia valued for its narrow, elongated leaves and sleek, understated appearance. The foliage is deep green with a smooth to lightly textured surface and subtle veining, giving the plant a clean, modern look rather than bold contrast or dramatic patterning. Its appeal lies in form and silhouette, not flash.
Scalprum grows with an upright, streamlined habit, producing leaves that feel elegant and intentional rather than oversized or sprawling. Compared to broader-leaf Alocasias, Scalprum remains more slender and architectural, making it a favorite for growers who appreciate structure and simplicity. As the plant matures, leaves elongate further and develop a more pronounced presence.
This listing is for a Grower’s Choice Alocasia Scalprum starter plant, not a corm. Plants are selected by me at the time of fulfillment based on overall health, root development, and growth stage. Starter plants are rooted, actively growing, and grown from my personal collection.
Starter plants are juvenile, established plants with approximately 1–3 leaves at the time of shipment. These plants are rooted and actively growing but still early in development. Leaf length, shape, and overall form will continue to evolve as the plant matures.
Photos are representative only. You will not receive the exact plant shown. Images represent typical size, shape, and growth stage.
What to Expect
This listing is for an established starter plant, not a corm
Starter plants typically have 1–3 leaves at the time of shipment
Plants are rooted and actively growing
Leaf shape and proportions will change as the plant matures
Growth is steady and structured rather than rapid or sprawling
Minor cosmetic imperfections are normal with living plants
Temporary stress from shipping or environmental changes is possible
I do not ship unhealthy or compromised plants. Each plant is inspected prior to shipping to ensure strong roots and overall health.
Care Responsibility
Once the plant leaves my care, ongoing care becomes the responsibility of the buyer. This includes providing appropriate light, warmth, humidity, moisture management, and allowing time for acclimation after shipping.
I am not responsible for damage caused by improper care, environmental conditions, shipping delays, or temperature exposure after shipment.
I strongly recommend purchasing a heat pack and upgrading shipping when temperatures are cooler, as Alocasia starter plants are sensitive to cold and temperature fluctuations.
A Note on Growing
Alocasia Scalprum benefits from consistency and patience. Growth may feel understated at first, but stable conditions allow the plant to develop longer, more refined foliage over time. My goal is to send you a healthy, well-rooted starter plant with strong growth potential so it can continue developing into its signature sleek form.
