Alocasia Scalprum – Grower’s Choice Corm
(Possible Variegation)
Alocasia Scalprum is a distinctive variety known for its long, narrow, deeply veined leaves with a matte to slightly textured finish. Growth is upright and architectural, with foliage that maintains a sleek, elongated form as the plant matures. It is appreciated for its unique structure rather than size or speed.
This listing is for a Grower’s Choice Alocasia Scalprum corm, not an established plant. Mother plant had low variegation, so it is possible that corms can have possible variegation, however variegation is not guaranteed and cannot be confirmed at the corm stage.
Corms are selected by me at the time of fulfillment based on firmness, health, and readiness. Corms may be dormant, beginning to sprout, or actively rooting depending on where they are in the growth cycle. All corms are viable and grown from my personal collection.
Photo is representative only. You will not receive the exact corm shown. Images are used to represent typical size and growth stage only.
What to Expect
This listing is for a corm, not an established plant
Variegation, if present, may not appear immediately or consistently
Some corms may not have any variegation, and grow fully green
Sprouting timelines vary and can take several weeks
Early leaves may be small, narrow, or irregular as the plant establishes
Growth focuses on root development before consistent foliage production
I do not ship unhealthy or compromised corms. Each corm is inspected prior to shipping to ensure firmness and viability.
Care Responsibility
Once the corm leaves my care, ongoing care becomes the responsibility of the buyer. This includes providing appropriate warmth, humidity, moisture management, and patience during the sprouting phase. I am not responsible for lack of variegation, delays in growth, damage caused by improper care, shipping delays, or temperature exposure after shipment.
I strongly recommend purchasing a heat pack and upgrading shipping, especially during cooler months, as Alocasia corms are sensitive to cold and temperature fluctuations.
A Note on Growing
Potential variegation is part of the excitement, not a guarantee. Scalprum is best approached with realistic expectations and patience. My goal is to send you a healthy, viable corm with strong growth potential so you can grow it out and see what it becomes over time.
