Alocasia Purple Sword – Grower’s Choice Corm
Alocasia Purple Sword is a striking, upright variety known for its long, narrow, sword shaped leaves and deep purple to burgundy coloration, especially on the undersides and petioles. Growth is vertical and elegant rather than wide or compact, giving this plant a dramatic, architectural look as it matures.
This listing is for a Grower’s Choice Alocasia Purple Sword corm, not an established plant. Corms are selected by me at the time of fulfillment based on firmness, health, and readiness. Corms may be dormant, beginning to sprout, or actively rooting depending on where they are in the growth cycle. All corms are viable and grown from my personal collection.
Photo is representative only. You will not receive the exact corm shown. Images are used to represent typical size and growth stage only.
What to Expect
This listing is for a corm, not an established plant
Corms may arrive dormant or with early signs of growth
Sprouting timelines vary and can take several weeks
Early leaves may be smaller, lighter, or greener before developing deeper coloration
Upright growth and narrow leaf shape become more pronounced as the plant matures
I do not ship unhealthy or compromised corms. Each corm is inspected prior to shipping to ensure firmness and viability.
Care Responsibility
Once the corm leaves my care, ongoing care becomes the responsibility of the buyer. This includes providing proper warmth, humidity, moisture management, and patience during the sprouting phase. I am not responsible for delays in growth, damage caused by improper care, shipping delays, or temperature exposure after shipment.
I strongly recommend purchasing a heat pack and upgrading shipping, especially during cooler months, as Alocasia corms are sensitive to cold and temperature fluctuations.
A Note on Growing
Alocasia Purple Sword often prioritizes root development before consistent leaf growth. Color deepens with maturity and stable conditions. My goal is to send you a healthy, viable corm with strong growth potential so you can grow this plant out confidently from the very beginning.
