Alocasia ‘Melo Albo’
Alocasia ‘Melo Albo’ is one of those plants you want to touch just to make sure the leaves are real. Melo is famous for its exceptionally thick, heavily textured, almost stone-like foliage, and the albo form adds crisp white and cream variegation across its blue-green leaves.
Rather than the glossy foliage seen on many Alocasias, Melo has a rugged, matte finish with deep ridges and pronounced texture. White variegation can appear as speckles, marbling, patches, or larger sectors, giving each plant its own completely individual look.

Simple Care
Light: Bright, indirect light without harsh afternoon sun
Water: Allow the mix to dry slightly between waterings
Humidity: Moderate to high humidity with good air circulation
Soil: Very well-draining, chunky aroid substrate
Temperature: Warm, stable temperatures are best
Fertilizer: Fertilize gently during active growth
Care Tip: Melo naturally has substantial, rigid leaves and prefers plenty of oxygen around its roots. Resist the temptation to water simply because the surface looks dry—check farther into the substrate first. The white portions of an Albo leaf are also more prone to cosmetic browning, which does not necessarily indicate a problem with the entire plant.
